Hello, May I Introduce You to Your Manual Camera?
If you have a manual camera and haven’t a clue how to use it; or if you’ve been shooting but need some pointers on f-stop, lenses, shutter speed, etc., this class is for you. We will cover the basic mechanisms and variables necessary in getting to know your manual camera and how it works: lens, shutter, aperture, film speed, film exposure, bracketing, etc., so that you can use your manual camera to its fullest capacity and your fullest creativity.
Black and White Printmaking: an Introductory Course
Been a little nervous over the prospect of getting in the darkroom? Wanting to make prints for yourself, family or friends but feel timid about the equipment? This introductory course will give you the tools you need to begin your journey into emulsion to emulsion printmaking. We will go over the rudiments of the darkroom: enlarger, easel, multi-contrast filters, lenses, grain focuser, paper, test prints, chemicals, washing and drying. We will provide all the tools – you need only bring your black and white negatives.
Portrait Photography: How to Put Your Subjects (and Yourself) at Ease
This course will teach you the psychology of working with adults, children and even animals. You will learn some helpful tools to put your subject at ease so that you can create the atmosphere necessary for the perfect moment to capture on film. (OCTOBER 2007 - FREE LECTURE)
